Key technical points for matching tractors and rotary cultivators
1.1 Whether the power of the tractor matches the power required by the implement.
When selecting a rotary tiller for a tractor, attention should be paid to power matching. The power of the tractor used should be greater than the power consumption of the rotary tiller. For example: a rotary cultivator requires a power supply of 100 horsepower. If the user is equipped with an 80-horsepower tractor, the matching is unreasonable. Rotary tillers with the same cultivation area may not necessarily have the same number and method of rowing knives due to different manufacturers. Therefore, the load of the machine tools is also different, and the supporting power requirements are also different.
1.2 Whether the tractor’s suspension mechanism matches the implement.
If the tractor has a Category II suspension, the implement must also have a Category II suspension, otherwise it is a mismatch.
1.3 Whether the tractor’s power output shaft speed matches the implement.
The blade shaft and speed of the rotary tiller directly affect the operation effect. Different manufacturers have different rotary tiller speed ratios. Rotary tiller cutter shaft speed = tractor power output shaft speed × number of teeth of the small bevel gear of the rotary tiller ÷ number of teeth of the large bevel gear × fixed gear ratio of the rotary tiller. How to choose the rotary tiller's cutter shaft speed to match the tractor? The normal working speed of the rotary tiller's cutter shaft is usually 200~280 r/min, and the maximum cannot exceed 300 r/min.
It is also necessary to refer to the local soil conditions. When the soil is hard, it is appropriate to reduce the cutter shaft speed, and when the soil is soft, it is appropriate to increase the cutter shaft speed. If the power output shaft speed of the tractor is 720 r/min, the blade shaft speed of the rotary tiller is 229 r/min, and when the power output speed of the supporting tractor is 540 r/min or 1000 r/min, the blade shaft speed of the rotary tiller is 229 r/min. The shaft speed is much lower or higher than its normal working speed, making it impossible to operate.
1.4 Whether the height of the tractor power output shaft from the ground matches the height of the rotary cultivator
match.
Rotary tillers are divided into: low box, medium and high box, and high box. Generally, if the tractor power output shaft is above 60cm from the ground, you can choose a medium-high box, if it is higher than 65cm, you can choose a high box, and if it is lower than 60cm, you can choose a low box.
